Access for musicians

Accessibility Statement

Musicians Rights UK is being built for musicians, creators, managers and industry partners with different access needs. We want the website and member app to be usable, understandable and welcoming for disabled people.

Last reviewed: 18 May 2026

Our Standard

Our working target is WCAG 2.2 AA. That means we aim to support people using keyboards, screen readers, zoom, voice control, reduced-motion settings and other assistive technologies.

This is an active commitment rather than a finished claim. Musicians Rights UK is early, and we will keep improving the site as the member app, guides and community features grow.

What We Have Put In Place

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation, including a skip link to the main page content.
  • Visible focus states for links, buttons and form controls.
  • Form labels, required states and assistive error messages for key member journeys.
  • Colour contrast improvements across the main navigation, footer and status messages.
  • Reduced-motion support for people who prefer less animation.
  • Plain-language page structures that use headings, lists and link text consistently.

Where We Are Improving

  • We will continue testing new member resources, partner tools and downloadable guides before publication.
  • We are working towards stronger accessibility checks in our release process.
  • If we embed third-party tools, we will review their accessibility and provide practical alternatives where possible.

Tell Us What Is Not Working

If part of the website or member app creates an access barrier, please tell us what happened, which page you were using, and what would help. We will use that feedback to prioritise fixes.
